I like the Guardians to win this one at home against the Mets and for their bats to continue to stay hot. The Guardians have won 3 in a row and outscored AL Central rival Twins, 19-8 in their series. The Mets took 2 out of 3 against the Marlins, however I see them coming back to earth against a much more talented team in the Guardians. Cleveland is sending Blake Lively to the hill who picked up the win last game against the Rangers, and has now allowed 3 ERs in back to back starts while tallying 7 Ks in the process. He has great splits against this Mets roster, and should be able to image to them. The Mets are sending Tylor Megill to the hill who is making his first start from returning off the 15 Day IL. He has historically struggled on the road going 2-5 with a 6.79 ERA and 1.96 WHIP since 2023. The Guardians are 22-15 against RHP this season and the Mets are 3-6 in inter league games. I like the Yankees to win this game at home against the Mariners. The Yankees have been playing great baseball winning 7 in a row and are moving full steam ahead. The Mariners fell 2 of 3 against the Orioles and are tasked with another difficult AL East opponent, in the Bronx Bombers. The Yankees are sending Marcus Stroman to the hill who is looking to build on another solid start, after going 6 IP and allowing just 2 hits, striking out 2 and allowing 0 ERs across the Twins last time out. He holds a 3.80 ERA and 1.42 WHIP - both of which are lower than what he started the month at. The Mariners are sending Logan Gilbert to the hill who has now fallen 2 straight games, allowing 11 ERs across 13 hits thru 10.2 IP. He has struggled against the Yankees in his career allowing 12 ERs on 17 hits his last 2 starts against NYY. The Yankees are 26-9 against RHP this season and the Mariners are 6-9 as a road dog.
